We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Project Manager to join our diverse and enthusiastic Contaminated Land Management team in Sydney.
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, execution, and management of a variety of projects related to contaminated land assessment, management, remediation, and validation, to ensure delivery on-time and within budget.
In addition, the Project Manager is focused on building and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Who You Are
- Degree in Science, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Current Drivers’ license.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering environmental projects, medium to large scale.
- 5+ years of experience in environmental consulting, with a focus on contaminated land management.
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations, standards and practices, particularly NSW legislation.
- Experience in report writing, technical review, project management, and the management of junior specialists.
- Experience working with key business stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate project teams.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Adaptability and resilience in a dynamic work environment.
Preferred
- LAA licence.
- Project management certification (PMP or equivalent) is a plus.
- Government or infrastructure experience highly desirable.
- Experience on Wastewater Treatment Plant Projects.

Job Responsibilities
Project Management:
- Taking a lead role in planning, executing, and closing projects within established timelines and budgets.
- Ensuring all tasks, deliverables, and project materials are delivered promptly.
- Preparing and implementing of Project Management Plans.
- Reporting regularly to the leadership team regarding project milestones, deliverables, risks, and issues.
- Monitoring, tracking, and controlling project outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical path deliverables.
- Ensuring all projects adhere to environmental regulations and standards, obtaining necessary permits and approvals.
- Planning, monitoring, and documenting tasks throughout a project.
- Ensuring resource availability and allocation.
- Identifying project goals, needs, and scope.
Leadership:
- Driving initiatives to strengthen and grow EGA’s presence across core business lines.
- Proactively seeking out opportunities to innovate service delivery and continue to articulate EGA’s competitive advantage, whilst improving efficiencies and profitability.
- Supporting the coaching, development, and resourcing of team members.
Client Interaction:
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, ensuring clear communication and satisfaction with project outcomes.
- Playing an active role in the business growth through regular client engagement, business planning, and delivery.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including environmental scientists, engineers, and support staff, to achieve project objectives.
Financial Management:
- Overseeing project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Delivering every project on time within budget and scope.
